Since the start of the war, millions of windows have been blown out by bombs or bullets. Soaring energy prices and sub-zero winter temperatures make this an urgent problem as windows are a key component of good building insulation.
People are freezing, and current insulating solutions don’t work.
Current solutions fall short on several counts: they are ineffective, don’t let light through, and can be difficult to install.
We have created a new simple window design.
Insulate Ukraine windows are triple-glazed polyethene windows designed to protect against the cold. IU windows insulate like double glazing, let light through, costs $21 to build and install, and can be built at home in 15 minutes from basic materials.
